You want to get the most out of what you eat, so we set out to create the best broccoli sprout powder. Great for smoothies, juice, and whatever else you can come up with! We start with organic broccoli seeds. They are sprouted until the cell wall cracks (typically 4-7 days) and are then freeze-dried to lock in the maximum amount of nutrients possible (including the active myrosinase enzyme and the glucoraphinin). Once dried they are ground into a powder. It is then packaged and tested as a final step. In addition to our standard safety testing which includes microbiological and heavy metal testing, we also test each batch for glucoraphanin content and myrosinase to ensure the enzyme is active and ready to convert that glucoraphanin to sulforaphane once you eat it.

Tips for evaluating the quality of a broccoli sprout powder:
Start with the taste and smell – A broccoli sprout powder should taste and smell like broccoli sprouts. Our powder is made by freeze-drying whole sprouts (including the seed portion) and grinding them into a powder. It has a very fresh broccoli sprout taste and scent. If the broccoli sprout powder has more of a toasted taste it has most likely been drum dried (a high heat process that will deactivate the myrosinase enzyme). Our powder is 100% pure and freeze-dried to maintain the myrosinase enzyme activity.Color – When you look closely at our powder you will see that it is light brown (sprout portion) with flecks of darker brown (outer seed portion). Our powder is 100% pure broccoli sprout with nothing added in. If all of the powder is darker brown the powder has most likely been drum dried which is a high heat process that will deactivate the myrosinase enzyme.
